Bring your own Scrooge for special presentation of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" - Nov. 28 & 29

Diana Wortham Theatre is pleased to announce Bring Your Own Scrooge, a special ticket offer for family and friends to see Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, performed by 2014 APA Touring Performer of the Year, Jeremy Webb, on Thanksgiving weekend: Friday November 28 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 29 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Diana Wortham Theatre.

Who's your family Scrooge? Every family has a Scrooge, right? Somebody who's a little grumpier, a little tighter with their wallet? Tell Diana Wortham Theatre about your Scrooge and they'll treat them to this show -- 90 minutes of this high-spirited, family friendly holiday classic on stage, like you've never seen it before.

Bring Your Own Scrooge is an opportunity for families, familial groups, and groups of friends to take a break from the Thanksgiving rush, bring out-of-town guests, and launch the holiday season with a ticket offer to see this high-spirited holiday classic. Patrons simply visit www.dwtheatre.com, click the “Bring Your Own Scrooge” icon, and complete a simple form to share who their family’s or friend-group’s “Scrooge” is. Upon completion, a promo code is presented to use at the box office for a free ticket to see A Christmas Carol: buy three tickets and the fourth ticket, for the Scrooge-iest member of the group, is free.

This internationally touring production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol features Jeremy Webb, creator and remarkable character of Shakespeare On Trial – the show that brought down the house during two past Mainstage Seasons. Webb has re-envisioned A Christmas Carol in a brilliantly entertaining, 30-character, family-friendly extravaganza. With a run time of 90 minutes, families and friends can catch this production and still have plenty of time to indulge in downtown Asheville’s festive street-scene on Thanksgiving weekend.
