Summer Update from Blue Ridge Biofuels

Blue Ridge Biofuels has been busy as a local community fuel provider. The Food to Fuel to the Fuel Tank (F3) project received funding from the Biofuels Center of North Carolina, and they are excited to begin this agricultural commodity project. 

They successfully wrapped up the first year of the Cooking Oil Recycling Program and had a great party to thank all their community partners. Two interns began work with BRB in July: Pat Keller in Production and Marielle Angel in Public Relations. They also hired a new restaurant client representative, MJ Chen.
 
They report that the biodiesel station in Sylva has finally reopened after a long rebuilding process, and biodiesel is flowing there once again. BRB is repairing the pump in Black Mountain, with completion expected soon.

BRB has been focused on getting new restaurant clients and expanding their relationships to include new bulk customers. They are also taking applications for two positions at their campnay.
