"Art on the Move on Charlotte Street" - April 20

Metro Wines, in collaboration with artist Gary Byrd and Semi Public Space for Contemporary Art, will launch the first annual "Art on the Move on Charlotte Street," Saturday, April 20 at noon.  Customers and clients will carry art from the 305 Hillside Semi Public location to their New Viewing Space at Metro Wines located at 169 Charlotte Street.

"Come for the wine, stay for the art," says John Kerr,  a co-owner of Metro Wines.  Metro Wines promises to pair wine with anything from steak to curry to a bad hair day.

This installation will be the first in a series of rotating exhibitions at Metro Wines. "Art on the Move on Charlotte Street" rolls rain or shine," says Byrd, who will serve as curator at Metro Wines.

Metro Wines and the Semi Public New Viewing Space will celebrate their grand opening with an open party on Saturday, April 27th from 5 to 7 pm.  "Metro Wines will be a place to come for good wine, good service, fun and friends," says Kerr, "and art!"  Asheville Human Society will receive 10% of the proceeds of all sales at the grand opening.
