Balanced Is launches new culture workshop series for strengthening and evolving organizational culture

When: Thursday, April 24
Where: Laughing Waters Retreat Center, Gerton, NC (30 minutes from downtown Asheville)
For: Businesspeople and entrepreneurs focused on culture

On the heels of the release of founding partner Glenn Geffcken’s first book, SHIFT: Indigenous Principles for Corporate Change, Balanced Is launches new culture workshops designed to catalyze a shift in organizational culture through an exploration of principles from indigenous society.

Balanced Is workshops are geared toward businesspeople and entrepreneurs focused on culture as a force of positive change, and offers a methodology to help professionals and business leaders break free from the prevailing cultural paradigm and consider a different course.

Balanced Is workshops are unique. They are set both indoors, and outdoors in a lush mountain environment. Participants spend time around the fire, meditative time in nature, talking circles are held, and their workshops offer exercises to help participants connect with their value systems on a deeper more visceral level.

On April 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Balanced Is will be holding the first of a four-part series of one-day culture workshops at the beautiful Laughing Waters Retreat Center in Gerton, North Carolina, just thirty minutes from downtown Asheville.

Geffcken shares that, “While industries and technologies are constantly changing, the values that drive our behaviors are unchanging.” And he points to an encoding within indigenous culture for the continual perpetuation and enhancement of their culture as the key to the evolution of business culture.
