Asheville Chamber to feature Cherokee art, demonstrations

A group of contemporary Cherokee artists from Cherokee, NC, will be displaying their exquisitely authentic artwork for sale and offering demonstrations at the Native Marketplace. Come meet talented Native craftsmen, including a jewelry maker, basket weaver, an artist who creates soaps and lotions, and a modern wood carver who utilizes technology to etch, engrave and carve Cherokee designs, plus other artists. Free and open to the public, the Native Marketplace will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 15 at the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, coordinated by Our Native American Business Network (ONABEN). All in the community are encouraged to attend, learn, support and shop from 11-3 p.m.

If you plan on attending, please RSVP to Heidi Reiber at hreiber@ashevillechamber.org.
