Peter Kanipe joins McGuire Wood & Bissette

Peter U. Kanipe Joins McGuire Wood & Bissette Law Firm Asheville, NC – ​The McGuire Wood & Bissette law firm is pleased to welcome attorney Peter U. Kanipe to the firm. Mr. Kanipe will continue to focus his practice on real estate and development issues and local government matters. He has represented the City of Asheville in the acquisition of multiple properties and sidewalk easements as well as local banks with rectifying real property title issues.

Peter is a native of Asheville, a graduate of T.C. Roberson High School, and has practiced law in the community for 13 years prior to joining the practice with McGuire, Wood & Bissette law firm. Peter earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee, Cum Laude in 2002.

Peter has had vast experience in the local community, serving as President of the Asheville Community Theatre, a member on the Executive Committee for the 28th Judicial District Bar, and on the Board of Directors for the Arc of Buncombe County.
