Goodwill presents free job readiness workshops

Searching for a job can be confusing and overwhelming. This fall, Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina will present six free workshops that will offer tips and advice for anyone looking for a job.

The Tips for an Effective Job Search workshops will be offered in September, October and November at Buncombe County Libraries. They take place from 2-3:30 p.m. on each of the days listed below:

-          Black Mountain Branch Library (105 Dougherty Street)

o   Monday, Sept. 14 & Sept. 28; Monday, Oct. 12 & 26; Monday, Nov. 9 & 23

-          Weaverville Library (41 N. Main Street)

o   Tuesday, Sept. 15; Tuesday, Oct. 13; Tuesday, Nov. 10

-          Enka/Candler Library (1404 sand Hill Road, Candler)

o   Tuesday, Sept. 29; Tuesday, Oct. 27; Tuesday, Nov. 24

The workshops will be presented by staff from Goodwill’s Workforce Development Center located at 1616 Patton Avenue in Asheville.
