Irene Wortham Center's annual golf tournament supports area children

Asheville-based non-profit Irene Wortham Center is calling all golfers and local businesses to take part in our 16th Annual Golf Tournament at Etowah Valley Golf Resort on Friday, May 20th, 2016. The tournament is IWC’s biggest and most important fundraiser of the year and benefits children in need at the Irene Wortham Early Learning Center.

Golfers will enjoy two challenging 9-hole courses at Etowah Valley in a Captain’s Choice format, plus breakfast, lunch, dinner and a special gift. Several levels of sponsorship are available with benefits including company credit on event materials, website, and social media. Shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m.

The Early Learning Center is a 5-star rated child care center that serves children ages six weeks to five years old with and without developmental delays. Many of the families served by the Center live in poverty, and proceeds from this event will help provide the children with educational materials, medical equipment, therapy services, and meals to help them succeed as they prepare for school and life.

The tournament is planned and executed by volunteers who recognize that making an investment in individuals with disabilities can help them lead happy, health and independent lives.  Your support of the 16th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament means Irene Wortham Center can continue to provide outstanding education and care and give family members valuable peace of mind.
