Asheville Home Builders Association names new executive officer
The Asheville Home Builders Association is proud to name Christi Stokes as the new Executive Officer for the Asheville based, building trade organization. The Asheville Home Builders Association was chartered in 1966, and is a professional resource for the Building Industry throughout Western North Carolina.
Stokes joined the Asheville Home Builders Association in 2009 working primarily as Director of Membership Services and Special Events. In this role she implemented and developed industry events that facilitated valuable connections between the building industry and the general public, and through strong membership communications and programs, helped grow the Association to the 4th largest Home Builders Association in North Carolina. Stokes plans to use her experience to continue to elevate awareness of the Asheville HBA as a leading home building resource for our local building professionals in our thriving community.
“I am thrilled to take on this leadership role for a dynamic organization that offers a strong voice, unity for the local building industry, and valuable resources for its members,” says Stokes. “In working proactively with the Board of Directors, AHBA staff and our general membership, I strive to continue to bring value to our diverse membership programs aligning with the message of providing an educated voice and promoting excellence within the building industry.”
“Christi proved to be the best choice for the Association, after an extensive search of over 50 applicants,” said 2016 AHBA President Christopher Fox of Fox Builders. “Her foundation and in depth knowledge of the Association and ideas to continue the forward momentum of our organization will prove to be invaluable to the Asheville area and our members in the coming years.”
The Asheville Home Builders Association is an advocate for the homebuilding industry and a resource for the community since 1966. Our mission is to educate and support our members, contribute to the community, and represent the legislative interests of the local building industry. Affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders and the North Carolina Home Builders Association, the Asheville HBA (www.ashevillehba.com) represents more than 500 companies in the community.
