Biltmore Farms Hotels launches Feed a Family program, expands MANNA FoodBank partnership

Biltmore Farms Hotels continues its commitment to the Asheville Community by again partnering with MANNA FoodBank and Feeding America to launch FEED A FAMILY, an effort to impact the fight against hunger in Western North Carolina.

The FEED A FAMILY program will be offered to guests at each of the company’s three properties, DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville-Biltmore, Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park and Residence Inn Biltmore, and be available for the upcoming holiday time periods - November 24-27, and December 23 – January 2.  The program gives hotel guests the option to forgo housekeeping services in place of a donation to MANNA, which will provide meals to families in need.    Guests will receive a special hanger at check-in that can be placed on their room door to signify participation throughout their stay.

“We are honored to be partnering with MANNA on our FEED A FAMILY project.  Helping our guests with connecting to the Asheville Community while visiting our properties has been a rewarding experience for them, as well as our Biltmore Farms Hotels family,” stated Robert Foster, Director of Hotel Operations for Biltmore Farms.  “It is our goal to not only impact those in need in our area, but to have our guests, many of whom spend the Holidays at our properties each year, make this a part of their traditions for years to come.”

Biltmore Farms Hotels and its properties have supported MANNA FoodBank for several years.  Employees regularly volunteer at MANNA FoodBank’s distribution center, as well as collect can goods for donation and participate in the Empty Bowls fundraiser each year.  This past year, due to the growth of Empty Bowls, the DoubleTree Biltmore hosted both lunch and dinner events, which drew a record number of attendees and raised enough money to provide over 220,000 meals to those in need across Western North Carolina.
