Small Business of the Month: Blue Ridge Orthodontics

We are pleased to recognize Blue Ridge Orthodontics as Small Business of the Month. Celebrating 10 years in business, Blue Ridge Orthodontics was started by Dr. Luke Roberts in 2007 and now has four doctors in three locations serving Asheville, Hendersonville and Brevard.

"I always had the vision to grow Blue Ridge Orthodontics into something awesome for the community!  We focused on being heavily involved in our community and always giving back," Dr. Roberts said.

Blue Ridge Orthodontics truly embraces community. The practice has given over half a million dollars back to our community through free orthodontic care to kids in need, sponsorship of local sports and activities, donations, and volunteering.  

"I am most proud of our Blue Star Program," Roberts said. This program serves children who desperately need orthodontic treatment but whose families cannot afford the care.   Blue Ridge Orthodontics has partnered with local dentists and DSS to identify children who qualify.  

 

When we asked what's the best advice you've gotten for running a successful small business, Roberts said, "Focus on making the experience awesome for your patients or clients! Develop a set of core values that you and your team live by.  We have eight core values at Blue Ridge Orthodontics, and we find ways to incorporate them into almost everything we do. (Could you guess that being Charitable is one of our core values?)"
 

What’s next on the horizon?  

Blue Ridge Orthodontics' new building at 1915 Hendersonville Rd opens the second week in September.  This location will triple their space and greatly improve customer experience. It will feature a private adult waiting room in addition to the family waiting room, private treatment rooms, an open treatment area with a gorgeous garden view\and stunning architecture by local LEED certified architect Chad Roberson.
