Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn nominated by USA Today as 10 Best - voting still in progress

Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn, located at 640 Merrimon Avenue has been nominated for the USA Today’s 10 Best Contest in the category of Food & Drink. The contest winner is determined by votes through their website and the small business with the most votes will be declared the winner! The contest ends on 10/23/2017 and each person or email address/device can vote one time each day between now and 10/23/17.

Poppy, just celebrating it’s 3rd year in business, is set to open a production facility and it’s 2nd retail location in downtown Black Mountain by the end of this month. Both the Asheville and North Carolina community has been instrumental in Poppy’s growth and their popcorn is now carried by retailers all across the country. But the only place to buy it right from the kitchen is right here in Asheville.

Poppy is asking their community to come around them once again by showing their support with votes for Best 10! There is no prize awarded but a write up in a nation paper just as the holidays approach would be a big win for this small local business.
