French Broad River Paddle Trail goes online

Thanks to a grant from the NC Trails program, RiverLink will be developing an online interactive map of the French Broad River Paddle Trail.  The map will serve the community providing general information about the trail, campsite locations and descriptions, outfitters and guides, lodgings opportunities, campgrounds, shuttle and other visitor services, hiking trails, greenways and parks along the river corridor.  

The French Broad River Paddle Trail is a river trail from the headwaters in Rosman, NC to the NC/TN boarder just past Hot Springs.  RiverLink has been working with the communities along the river and individuals to build "Leave-No-Trace," non-reservation, and free campsites approximately every 8-10 miles along the banks of the river.  RiverLink's French Broad River Paddle Trail will serve to protect the river as a resource for recreation, environmental stewardship, education, and economic development.

French Broad River Paddle Trail Online Mapping Form 

RiverLink, is a regional non-profit spearheading the economic and environmental revitalization of the French Broad River and its tributaries as a place to live, work and play. Since 1987 they have engaged in simultaneous efforts to address water quality concerns throughout the French Broad River basin, expand public opportunities for access and recreation, and spearhead the economic revitalization of Asheville's riverfront district.
