Minick Law Firm is launching an Asheville
pedestrian safety campaign called “Slow Down Asheville”. As Asheville has grown over the last few years, one of the big growing pains has to
do with narrow and increasingly congested roadways, and distracted driving.
As a result of this dangerous combo, this area leads North Carolina, per capita,
in pedestrian-related motor vehicle accidents.
Many
of the staff at Minick Law live in
congested Asheville neighborhoods, with young children and pets, so they decided to try to do their part to address pedestrian safety. They are sponsoring, along with NC Farm Bureau and FASTSIGNS of Asheville, a yard sign campaign aimed at getting drivers to slow down and pay
more attention to their surroundings.
The
campaign will officially launch on Wednesday February 10th. Signs are
FREE, and will be available for pickup at a number of locations, including High
5 Coffee, Biscuit Head, Edna’s, Fast signs, and Minick Law.
