Jewish Community Center hosting Falafel 5k - May 8

The Asheville Jewish Community Center (JCC), located at 236 Charlotte St, will hold the Falafel 5K race on Sunday, May 8 at 10 am. The race route is through the Norwood and Grove Park neighborhoods in north Asheville. Register at jcc-asheville.org.  Questions can be directed to Rochelle Reich, 253-0701 or rochelle@jcc-asheville.org. 

The 2016 Falafel 5K celebrates Israel Independence Day and Mother’s Day. Every runner receives a coupon for a falafel sandwich at at the Cafe Israel event at Congregation Beth Israel. All participants will also receive a race shirt.  To honor Mother's Day, a portion of each registration will be donated to the YWCA of Asheville's MotherLove program for teen parents.
