Homeward Bound of WNC, a nonprofit based in Buncombe and
Henderson counties is pleased to announce that effective June 1st, we will
accept your donations of gently used furniture and housewares at our new
donation center located at 549 Elk Park Drive, Unit 708, Asheville, NC 28804.
The Center will begin with accepting donations between 1 - 4
PM on Wednesdays but we hope to expand days and hours with assistance from our
volunteer pool.
Your clean and gently used household items can help others
experience the comforts of home after having lived in a car, camp or a shelter.
The donations we received go directly to our clients, furnishing their new
homes or are used at our Day Center for people still living without housing.
In 2015, we moved 352 people out of homelessness in Buncombe
and Henderson Counties and furnished their apartments, mobile homes and houses
with items provided by our community.
