FIG Bistro in Historic Biltmore Village kicks off its ten-year anniversary in April with a very special event. Festivities will
begin in earnest on April 7th with a wine dinner featuring vineyard
owner David Adelsheim of Adelsheim Vineyards.
About
Adelsheim Vineyards: In 1971, Ginny and David Adelsheim purchased the 19
acres that would become Quarter Mile Lane Vineyard. They shared a dream with a
handful of families that Oregon’s climate and land could one day produce
serious wines. A home was built, vines planted, and in 1978, the first
commercial wines were produced. Adelsheim Vineyards, a pioneer of the
Oregon Wine Industry, have also been a leader in sustainable agricultural
practices through the years.
While
Pinot Noir will be the star attraction for the evening, Fig will also be featuring
a beautiful rose, pinot gris, and a unique varietal from Alsace –
Auxerrois. Auxerrois is a sibling of Chardonnay and only a few acres of
the grape are grown in the United States. Chef Jones and team are pulling
out all the stops for this special event. It is an honor to have David be a part of the celebration.
The dinner is offered at $75 per person and will begin
promptly at 6:30 pm – Reservation Only (828) 277-0889.
