Brother Wolf Animal Rescue plus seven local animal rescue groups will participate in PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend.
The National Adoption Weekend will be Saturday, May 6, and Sunday, May 7, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at PetSmart located at 150 Bleachery Boulevard in Asheville rain or shine.
PetSmart Charities is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals.
Over 100 dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and rabbits from Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, Asheville Humane Society, Foothills Humane Society, Macon County Animal Services, Madison County Animal Services, Mitchell County Animal Rescue, Rusty’s Legacy and Yancey Humane Society will be available for adoption.
“This amazing event brings together local rescues with over 100 dogs, puppies, cats and kittens for adoption. We know you will find your fur-ever new friend this weekend,” said Brother Wolf’s PetSmart Charities Adoptathon Coordinator Peggy Hodge.
The American Red Cross will be on-site Sunday, May 7, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. for a blood drive. Register in advance at www.redcrossblood.org. Save two lives that day by adopting an animal and giving blood.
