On Friday, December 5th from 4 to 8pm, Riverview Station will host its first ever Holiday Market, and The Village Potters will join over 40 other artists who will open their studios and galleries for the event. The Holiday Market features more than twenty open studios, with many offering special holiday promotions and even specialty items created just for the Market. Many studios will offer refreshment, and El Kimchi food truck will be parked at the north entrance of the building.

At The Village Potters, the Feature Gallery will present holiday gift ideas for every taste, from functional pottery for the kitchen and home, to stunning decorative ceramics, sculpture and Raku. Additionally, they will host Santa Claus, who will be available for photos in from 4-5 and from 7-8pm in the studio area. You’ll find him roaming throughout Riverview Station from 5-7pm, spreading holiday cheer!

Riverview Station is located at 191 Lyman Street in the historic River Arts District (RAD). Erected in 1902 as the Hans Rees Tannery, the building served many purposes before evolving into one of the original properties of Asheville’s River Arts District in 1996. Today in addition to being home to The Village Potters, Riverview Station houses more than 60 fine art and craft studios, several artists’ co-ops and is the closest RAD building to Biltmore Village.

The Riverview Station Holiday Market is free to attend, with plenty of parking at both ends of the block-long building. On December 5th, come out to Riverview Station for creative holiday fun! The Village Potters Teaching Center offers ongoing classes for adults, and demonstration and hands-on workshops.
