Event Details

Red runs November 3 – 19, 2017: Winner of the 2010 Tony Award for Best Play, RED is an electrifying struggle between the artist Mark Rothko, his search for artistic integrity, and the young man hired as his assistant. An exploration of art, humanity and personal expression. Produced by Mockingbird Theatre Productions, directed by Chanda Calentine and starring John Hall and Alex Daly. This show runs November 3-19, 2017 in 35below on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:30pm. Tickets are $15.00 and are available online at www.ashevilletheatre.org, by phone at 828-254-1320 or in person at the ACT Box Office.

Storytelling series Listen to This: There are some stories that are just so good they need to be shared with an assembled audience. In the vein of “This American Life,” Listen to This is an evening hosted by Tom Chalmers with stories and songs from some of Asheville’s most interesting writers, performers, and citizens. Each installment features a central theme (past shows have featured stories about everything from gluttony to mistaken identity). Real people. Real stories. Real good times. November’s installment will be presented on November 30, 2017 at 7:30 pm in 35below. Tickets are $15.00 and are available online at www.ashevilletheatre.org, by phone at 828-254-1320 or in person at the ACT Box Office.
