Green Cloud Technologies awarded $1.5M healthcare contract
Green Cloud Technologies, a Cloud technology solutions provider was awarded a multi-year $1.5M services contract by a leading regional technology solutions provider. Green Cloud will provide a virtual, private cloud environment for the service provider that will be fully managed by Green Cloud’s engineering team.
This cloud environment will be supporting electronic medial records (EMR) and electronic health record (EHR) systems that service healthcare practices across the United States. These medical record databases will live in a private cloud infrastructure with dedicated SSD drives that are protected by industry leading firewalls.
The environment will allow the customer to consolidate and downsize existing data centers while still achieving geographic redundancy using Green Cloud’s multiple data centers. Specifically, the customer will be decommissioning a fully functioning data center in order to offload the management and maintenance over to Green Cloud’s dedicated engineering team.
“This is just another example of a company realizing they are not in the data center business and that it would be a strategic and economic benefit to let someone else do it,” said Charles Houser, EVP of Green Cloud Technologies.
