ODYSSEY MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT WRITING & ILLUSTRATION SHOWING Over the course of the fall semester, students from Odyssey Middle School experimented with fiction and poetry through collaborative challenges, studies of master writers (including Yann Martel, Wallace Stevens, and Ray Bradbury), and experimentation with literary elements like internal and social conflict, point of view, and genre.  For their writings the students selected their own topics and generated drafts for eight weeks.  During the last month, we worked through the publishing process with editor, agent, and illustrator interviews - exchanging roles to help each other revise, improve, and polish one final draft - to be read during the event!  Please meet these talented young folk!
