DWT announces two Intersections events - April 11 & 15

The Diana Wortham Theatre at Pack Place in downtown Asheville announces its April 2014 Intersections events held in The Forum at Diana Wortham Theatre.: Campfire Songs Sing Together with Beth and Jim Magill on Friday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m. and The Book of Ages: The Life and Opinions of Jane Franklin by Jill Lepore, Tuesday, April 15 at 6:30 p.m.

The Sing Together Series, with musicians Beth and Jim Magill, is designed for family and friends to celebrate the joy of music and singing in spirited sessions -each with a different theme throughout the year. All skill levels are welcome. Bring family and friends, make new friends, and create community through song. Campfire Songs participants will learn easy and popular songs the entire family can sing around the campfire. Selections include folk favorites and a few interactive summer camp songs to get the crowd up and moving.

The Intersections Book Discussion Group focuses on casual book discussions and meeting new friends in a relaxed atmosphere. This group is open to all book lovers who enjoy lively and insightful discussions. The April 15 discussion begins at 6:30 PM and centers around The Book of Ages: The Life and Opinions of Jane Franklin by Jill Lepore.

Featuring a full season of classes, discussions, and performances, Intersections is an opportunity for patrons to connect more deeply with the arts, artists, and each other. The Forum, a large multi-purpose space adjacent to the Diana Wortham theatre and accessible from the theatre’s main lobby, is the venue for all Intersections events unless otherwise announced.
