FastMed Urgent Care receives The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval®

FastMed has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for accreditation by demonstrating compliance with the Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety in ambulatory health care.

This is a significant achievement for this organization for a number of reasons:

  • The Gold Seal is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality and reflects FastMed’s commitment to delivering high quality healthcare to patients.
  • FastMed is one of only 37 of the 5,250 non-hospital based urgent care centers in the U.S. to earn this designation and the only one in the NC and AZ markets, and as the sixth largest in the nation, they are now the largest urgent care operator to hold the coveted Gold Seal.
  • The FastMed Joint Commission Taskforce, with the support of scores of FastMed teammates, worked with Joint Commission experts throughout the rigorous eight-month application process that included detailed surveys of 24 of their sites, and numerous pre- and post- survey meetings and requests, all of which made them stronger and even more quality focused as an organization.

·    Not only has this process improved their delivery of medical care and safety to patients and staff, but it helps differentiate their value proposition in the market.
