Van Winkle attorney speaks on changes in elder and special needs law


Van Winkle elder law attorney Kathleen R. Rodberg spoke at the North Carolina Bar Association’s 2014 Elder & Special Needs Law Symposium and VA Accreditation Course in Pinehurst, NC on February 27-28.

The course offered VA accreditation for veterans’ benefits planning and continuing education for attorneys seeking to keep current in the changing landscape of Elder Law and Special Needs Law. Rodberg presented on the latest state and national legislation, regulations and court cases affecting those areas of the law.

Rodberg is an active member of the Elder Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. In addition to traditional estate planning, Rodberg offers planning for long-term care, coordinating private and public resources to finance such care, designing and administering special needs trusts, and assembling and coordinating teams of professionals to ensure the highest quality of care.
