Employer registration for the 8thth Annual
Homecoming Job Fair is now open!
The event will be held at a new location, the Davis Event Center at the WNC Agriculture Center, on Wednesday,
January 8, 2014 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. This new location will
provide larger booth space and enhance existing benefits to featured employers
while providing a new energy for the event to continue to thrive. The
Economic Development Coalition and the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce
partner annually with numerous workforce and industry allies to promote employment
opportunities in advanced manufacturing, health care, hospitality and other
growth industries in Western North Carolina. Through various media
outlets residents, students, graduates and former residents will be encouraged
to attend this one-stop opportunity to meet directly with representatives from
companies that will be hiring in 2014 or organizations promoting awareness to
potential future employees.
"We are looking forward to this opportunity
to connect regional business to talent, to connect our workforce to employment,
and to promote the diversity of career opportunities in Asheville. In the
past eight years, the Homecoming Job Fair has come to represent our regional
collaboration to make the Asheville area a great place to live, build a career,
and grow a business,” stated Tim Lampkin, Director of Business Retention & Expansion
at the Chamber’s Economic Development Coalition.
Chamber
members will receive a discounted registration fee. To register your
