Asheville Sun Soo Tae Kwon Do expands existing premises

Asheville Sun Soo Tae Kwon Do, the leading martial arts school in Western North Carolina, is doubling the size of its current facility located at 1009 Patton Avenue in the Kmart Plaza. The martial arts studio is expanding to a total of 10,000 sq. ft., twice the size of the existing space, making Asheville Sun Soo Tae Kwon Do the largest martial arts school in Western North Carolina in both square footage and student base.

The expansion will allow Asheville Sun Soo Tae Kwon Do to increase their current 40 classes per week and offer several new amenities providing students with even more excellent version of what is already an unparalleled martial arts practice experience.

“At Asheville Sun Soo Tae Kwon Do, our commitment to excellence motivates everything we do,” said Master Tony Morris, 7th degree Master Instructor, founder and co-owner of Asheville Sun Soo Tae Kwon Do. “The expansion of our facility will offer our diverse student base even more opportunities to realize their true potential through their martial arts practice and carry that into every other aspect of their lives. At our expanded facility, we look forward to continuing to continuing our mission of making the greatest positive difference for the greatest number of people.”

To celebrate the expansion, Asheville Sun Soo Tae Kwon Do will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 12 noon on Saturday, August 22. The ribbon cutting coincides with the student Tae Kwon Do belt testing event, which will showcase the martial arts skills and self-defense applications of more than 100 of the current practicing students of all belt ranks and ages, as well as upper belt board breaks and black-belt demonstrations for a distinguished panel of black belt judges and in front of approximately 500 guests.

Since January of 2007, Asheville Sun Soo Tae Kwon Do’s team of full-time professional staff has been teaching Traditional Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido and Jujitsu to men, women and children of all ages, currently ranging in age from 3-73. Asheville Sun Soo Tae Kwon Do has been voted #1 martial arts studio (for adults) and #1 martial arts program (for kids) in Mountain Xpress “Best of WNC” for several consecutive years, and once again in 2015.
