Asheville Performing Arts Academy to present Avenue Q, The Musical Dec. 13-16

The students of the Asheville Performing Arts Academy will present the regional premiere of "Avenue Q, The Musical."   Winner of the Tony "Triple Crown" for BEST MUSICAL, BEST SCORE and BEST BOOK (beating out the competition of the Broadway musical "Wicked").

One of the most rewarding parts of this show is that the characters (during the second act) take up a collection to support a local nonprofit.  The students have decided to partner with Youth Outright, supporting and empowering gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth in Western North Carolina.  Please visit their website for more information about their organization:  www.youthoutright.org

Performances one weekend only: December 13-16th at Asheville High School Arts Theatre. Tickets are $12 General Admission
