TEACHERS: As you transition through the
Holidays into a new year, please think about adding free environmental
education to your classroom. RiverLink offers free, hands-on,
experiential programs for K-12 classrooms in the French Broad River
Watershed. That includes Buncombe, Henderson, Transylvania, Madison,
Mitchell, Haywood, and Yancey counties!
Programs vary from outdoor Kids in the
Creek water quality testing, indoor lessons incorporating art and poetry, tours
of the City of Asheville's water treatment facility, Project WET activities,
and more! Programs are customized to meet the needs and goals of the
teacher/school.
