WNC Association of Health Underwriters hosts annual education seminar Feb 22

The Western North Carolina Association of Health Underwriters will host their annual education seminar, "Focus: What We Know" on Friday, February 22, 2013, at Holiday Inn West in Asheville.

"We know that...
...wellness programs are critical to our future environment,
...there are differing opinions related to the definition of "wellness",
...there is a need to manage change,
...we need to address our attitudes about change so we can help our colleagues, employees, and clients manage change positively with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act,
...the mention of advance care planning results in various responses from various people,
...advance care planning is about more than end-of-life wishes,
...there are ethical, medical, legal, and very personal aspects to advance care planning."

Because "we know these things," WNC AHU presents the following topics for this educational seminar:
1) Wellness Programming: An Integrated Approach
2) Impact of High-Cost Specialty Drugs in the Pharmacy Pipeline
3) PPACA: Managing Successful Change and Transition
4) Advance Care Planning: Valuable at Any Age (Panel Discussion)

This course qualifies for 5.5 hours of continuing education applied for (including 1.5 hours of ethics) Life Health Agents, Brokers, SHRM, and AAPC.
