Who says you cannot go home again?
The Asheville Track Club's 37th Annual Thomas Wolfe 8K presented by Mission Health returns to the beautiful and historic Thomas Wolfe House on October 19th at 10am thanks to a strong partnership between the Club and the Thomas Wolfe Memorial Foundation.
The course remains the same as 2012 with the exception of starting and finishing at TW's Old Home Place. It travels through Historic Riverside Cemetery, the beautiful Montford Neighborhood, along the Reed Creek Greenway, and through vibrant downtown Asheville.
Once again in 2013, you can count on cemetery surprises, live music by The Glampas, free beer by Sierra Nevada, long-sleeve cotton t-shirt, cash awards for fastest 1-mile and 3-mile splits, plus special awards from Biltmore Estate among others.
Local charities benefiting from the race include: Thomas Wolfe House, Buncombe County Greenway Development, and Literacy Council of Buncombe County.
Registration is just $25 until September 15th, and includes a cotton long-sleeve shirt, French Broad River Beer, pizza, music by The Glampas, and a sundry of fabulous awards/raffle items! All military personnel, all county and city workers, including but not limited to K-12 teachers, police and fire officials, receive $5 discounts. Groups of 10 or more may register for $20/person. See website for details.
