From June through December of 2013 two
generous Asheville Area Arts Council board members and their families pledged a
total of $10,000 in matching funds. This presented the Council and the Asheville arts community the opportunity to make $20,000 to
support the AAAC’s ongoing efforts to promote and strengthen Buncombe County’s
creative sector.
Asheville’s arts community showed their support by donating
$12,025 in recent months, bringing in the combined funds of $22,025.
The Council wishes to extend a special "thank you" to all who made contributions in 2013.
