WCU at Biltmore Park
is offering several half-day and full-day workshops starting this August for
Human Resources professionals to earn Society of Human Resources Management
PDC recertification credits.
Jonathan W. Yarbrough,
Partner at Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, LLP will be conducting several
employment law workshops including The Regulation Triangle - ADA, FMLA and
Workman’s Comp, on Friday, August
4, 2017 from 9 am to 1 pm.
It’s critical that owners, managers and human resources
professionals are aware of updates related to ADA, FMLA and Worker’s Comp
Regulations. Jonathan Yarbrough will discuss the organizations’
responsibilities and obligations, and how there is a regulation triangle
surrounding these laws. Employers and HR Professionals will learn more about
how to track injuries, determine injury/health condition classifications, how
to handle the return to work, and how to make accommodations that meet the
requirements of the law.
In addition to this training program, WCU will be offering
workshops focusing on Employment Law
Horror Stories, Developing a Mentor Training Program, Crisis Communication and Contract Negotiations, Risk and Liability.
