Jane Chu,
Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, is making her first official
trip to North Carolina this month. The North
Carolina Arts Council is partnering with us to host a public event in her
honor on August 21, from 6-7 pm on the second floor of 67 Broadway.
Chairman Chu will be traveling
thru Burnsville - Penland then off to Greensboro, Winston Salem, Chapel Hill to
get a breadth of what's happening in the NC cultural community. We're the
selected site for the only public meeting in the state. Chairman
Chu will make remarks on the public value of the arts, followed by a
conversation with Wayne Martin, Executive Director of the North Carolina Arts
Council. The NC Arts Council is sending out
an official announcement tomorrow.
This event is free and open to the public, yet limited seating is available. To get a jump on registration if you're free after the eclipse, click here: https://neameeting.eventbrite.com
