WNC Human Resource Association offers 2017 new membership special


WNC Human Resource Association (WNC HRA) is offering new members a special rate membership rate through the end of the year. Potential new members may attend the August program and social at Highland Brewing at no charge.

WHO: The Western North Carolina Human Resource Association, an affiliated Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).  Established in 1955, the WNC HRA joins professionals together to share ideas and best practices within the region to promote a productive, healthy and happy workforce. The WNC HRA holds monthly continuing education programs for members with guest speakers on timely and pertinent topics, including changes in employment law, conflict resolution and performance management. In 2016 the WNC HRA hosted the state SHRM Conference at the U.S. Cellular Center, which was the largest conference to date held in downtown Asheville. They currently have almost 500 members from throughout the Western North Carolina region.

WHERE: Highland Brewing Company, 12 Old Charlotte Highway, Asheville.

WHEN: Wednesday, August 9th. Check-in begins at 3:15 and the program starts at 3:30. Following the program there will be a social for current and potential new members in the Highland Tasting Room.

Annual membership in the WNC HRA includes all monthly programming. The 2017 New Membership Special is $125 for current SHRM members and $150 for non-members and is good through 12/31/17.

The August event at Highland Brewing includes a program featuring consultant Amy Climer, who will speak on “Deliberate Creativity: Three Elements of Innovation.” Immediately following will be a social for current and potential new members. There is no charge for first time attendees.
