Posana Cafe celebrates 5th anniversary - May 22

In celebration of Posana Café’s 5th anniversary, on Thursday, May 22 the restaurant will host its annual benefit dinner for the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project (ASAP)’s Growing Minds Program.  Along with the regular menu, guests will be offered a 100% local menu, featuring dishes made entirely from local ingredients. One hundred percent of the profits from the local menu will be donated to the Growing Minds Program.

Local farms donating food items include:

·         Brasstown Beef
·         Looking Glass Creamery
·         Three Graces Dairy
·         Ashley Farms
·         Hickory Nut Gap
·         Sunburst Farms Trout
·         Fork Mountain Farms

ASAP’s Growing Minds Program enriches the education of younger generations by connecting students with local farms. Developing strong relationships with local food and teaching kids the benefit of supporting local growers and producers will help maintain a sustainable, healthy community.

Reservations can be made online or by calling 828-505-3969. Please let me know if you have questions or would like additional information. Feel free to share this event as appropriate in any of your outgoing communications or e-newsletters.
