Hi-Wire Brewing announces "Ringmaster's Reserve Series" to celebrate festival

Hi-Wire Brewing is celebrating Asheville’s Brewgrass Beer Festival in style with the release of the second offering in their “Ringmaster’s Reserve Series” – a multi-barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout.

This Russian Imperial Stout was uniquely aged on a variety of select oak barrels. Napa Valley Zinfandel, KY Bourbon, TN Whiskey, and NC Dark Rum casks all add to the complexity and balance in this deep black brew. Notes of roasted malts, warming alcohol, and hops provide a nice balance for the flavors imparted by the oak, leaving you satisfied and ready for your next sip.

The dark yet smooth high-gravity concoction will be available in 22-oz. bottles and will be released the day before Brewgrass, on Friday, September 19th, when Hi-Wire’s Downtown tasting room opens at 2pm. Bottles will be available both at Hi-Wire’s tasting room and at select retailers in Asheville, Charlotte and Raleigh/Durham. For those wanting to enjoy this bold, beautiful brew on draft, Hi-Wire will have a limited amount available in-house at its tasting room – to be poured in 10-oz. Belgian snifter glasses.

This second Ringmaster’s Reserve release will join several other new beers on Hi-Wire’s tasting room tap wall. Hi-Wire recently began substantially increasing output of its “Sideshow” beers. Expect at least two or three to be tapped at all times from now on – available only at their tasting room. Recent Sideshow hits have included a locally sourced wet-hopped double IPA, a gin barrel-aged juniper saison, and a dunkelweizen dark wheat beer.
