RiverLink seeks volunteers interested in watershed stewardship and conservation

RiverLink invites those interesting in becoming volunteers to attend our monthly volunteer information sessions on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Volunteers will have a chance to fill out a volunteer application, meet the RiverLink staff and find the best fit for donating their time and efforts.

This is a great way to find out more about RiverLink's work in the watershed and Wilma Dykeman- a pathfinding advocate for the environment, race relations, the use or misuse of pesticides in food production, Appalachian culture, birth control, and more.

The 10:00 a.m. info session will also have the presentation "Who Is Wilma Dykeman?"  given by Jim Stokely, one of Wilma Dykeman's sons. The evening session will start with an informal meet and greet at 5:00 p.m. and the volunteer presentation beginning at 5:30 p.m..

To attend, RSVP by Tuesday, Sept. 9 to (828) 252-8474, ext. 11 or via e-mail at dave@riverlink.org
