Asheville Outlets to feature CarePartners' "Little Trees" project on exhibit

Holiday Trees on Display from November 19 – December 14

Asheville Outlets is pleased to announce the annual CarePartners Foundation's "Little Trees" Project will be displayed on-mall November 19th through December 14th. For over ten years, the “Little Trees” project has been delivering miniature Christmas trees to hospice patients and their families in Buncombe County. School children across the county decorate nearly 500 trees with handmade ornaments and heartfelt notes. The decorated miniature trees are given to patients served by hospice and other CarePartners programs two weeks before Christmas. This year, the public will be able to enjoy viewing the trees at Asheville Outlets before they are distributed.

“Asheville Outlets is honored to be part of such a worthwhile project. A child’s imagination is a wonderful thing, and we look forward to having their creativity and holiday spirit on display with every tree,” said Sharon Morgan, General Manager, Asheville Outlets. Trees will be on display at VF Outlet, West Elm Outlet, Brooks Brothers, Gap Factory Store, Banana Republic Factory Store and Zales Outlet.

Kim DeRosa is the volunteer chairperson for the Little Trees project this year. She also serves as the operations director for CarePartners Inpatient Hospice, and knows firsthand the impact these little trees can have. “Our patients are so moved by the kindness and thoughtfulness that the children put into decorating these trees. They really do bring so much happiness to our families, many of whom are going through a difficult time. I truly want all of the teachers who are a part of this project to know how much our patients appreciate it,” said DeRosa.
