Immedion launches new cloud platform to enable elasticity & simplify resource management

Immedion LLC, a premiere provider of Cloud, colocation and managed services, announced today the launch of its new Cloud Management Platform (CMP). With the new platform, Immedion customers will have more flexibility and control over their Cloud-based computing, storage and network resources through an easy to use interface.

Immedion partnered with OnApp to simplify the end-user Cloud management experience. OnApp recently announced it has been named the recommended portal partner for the VMware vCloud Air Network. Using the OnApp platform to deliver both VMware vCloud® Air™ and VMware vCloud Director® services, Immedion is positioned to provide its customers the latest VMware vCloud features and services.

“As part of the vCloud Air Network, Immedion chose to partner with OnApp to provide their customers with an intuitive portal that provides self-service, metering and billing, and a rock-solid user interface on a single-pane-of-glass. We’re proud to be working with Immedion to ensure their customers can customize their computing, storage, and network resources in the manner that works best for them with just a few clicks,” said OnApp President Narendar Shankar.

Customers take advantage of Immedion’s secure and scalable infrastructure services for primary production, disaster recovery or as a supplement to their current Cloud or data center environments. Immedion’s CMP gives customers the ability to manage Cloud-based resources on their own, including server deployment, configuration and management. Customers can also take advantage of on-demand resource elasticity to help them quickly scale up or down based on their business needs. Finally, the CMP provides intuitive monitoring and reporting of CPU, disk and network usage to help customers effectively utilize their Cloud resources. Plus, though there are many functions and capabilities available to customers through the new portal, Immedion’s staff of technical experts are always available to help.

“Our new Cloud Management Platform is a way for customers to get the Cloud resources they need easier and faster within the same great infrastructure they’ve always had. Though the infrastructure itself is designed to keep customers’ Cloud servers up and running 24x7x365, the new features of the portal allow additional resources and capabilities to be readily accessible at the click of a button,” said Rob Moser, Immedion’s Chief Operating Officer.
