Asheville Gallery of Art
will celebrate the opening of its new space at 82 Patton Avenue in downtown
Asheville with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, April 6, at 4 p.m.
Ambassadors from the Asheville Chamber of Commerce will preside, with
refreshments and a gala reception to follow. The artists will be present to
answer any questions about their work.
The space represents a new
chapter for AGA, Asheville’s longest-established gallery. Founded as an
artist co-op 28 years ago, AGA presents the work of 30 local artists. The
gallery’s diversity of styles, ranging from representational landscapes, to
figurative work, to colorful abstracts, showcases the incredible range of
talent in the region.
Regular gallery hours are
Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and, beginning April 1, Sundays 1 to
4. You can contact the gallery at 828-251-5796 or by visiting their website at ashevillegallery-of-art.com.
