McGuire, Wood & Bissette, P.A. announces
the election of attorney Andrew D. Atherton as a shareholder of the firm
effective February 1, 2016. To be considered for this honor the attorney must
display a high rate of success in their area of law, demonstrate a progressive influence
within the firm and maintain substantial local community involvement.
Andrew focuses his practice on Estates, Trusts, Elder and
Special Needs Law. Andrew proudly serves families in Western North Carolina
through his legal work, board memberships and as a member of Leadership
Asheville class 34. Andrew is a former chair of the North Carolina Bar
Association, Elder and Special Needs Law Section, and a frequent lecturer for
the Bar Association on topics such as special needs trusts, Medicaid and real
estate protection methods.
Andrew enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Mary Beth,
cheering on their three children, Graham, Reed and Ann Louise as they run
track, command the stage and dance with grace.
