Ellipsis Theater Company presents The Realistic Joneses: Asheville Community Theatre welcomes Ellipsis Theater Company and their production of The Realistic Joneses. The Joneses and their new neighbors the Joneses discover the truths we think we know and the secrets we never imagined we all might share. Directed by Elissa Peragine. The show runs May 5-21, 2017 with performances Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 pm in 35below. Auditions for All My Sons: The Autumn Players will hold auditions for All My Sons on May 9, 2017 from 10:30 am- 2:30 pm in 35below. Roles are available for five men and four women and a narrator who reads the setting and actions of the play. Scripts may be checked out from the ACT box office with a required deposit. All My Sons will be performed as reader’s theatre. Auditions are open to all in the community, no previous experience required. All audition material is provided at the auditions. Directed by Deborah Austin.

Storytelling series Listen to This: In the vein of “The Moth” or “This American Life,” Listen to This features stories and original songs from locals. May’s installment will be presented on May 25, 2017 at 7:30 pm in 35below. Hosted by Tom Chalmers. The Autumn Players’ Readers Theatre Showcase Series Presents All My Sons: Amidst the anguish of a family whose oldest son, an army pilot, has been reported missing-in-action during World War II, the son’s father is suspected of having knowingly sold defective airplane parts for the war effort. Directed by Deborah Austin. Performances are Friday, May 26, 2017 and Saturday, May 27, 2017 in 35below at Asheville Community Theatre and Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Reuter Center on the campus of UNC Asheville. All performances begin at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $6.00 (includes NC Sales Tax) and are available online at www.ashevilletheatre.org, by phone at 828-254-1320 or in person at the ACT Box Office through October 28. All remaining tickets will be sold at the door.


Broadway Bootcamp Showcase: Hear the hits of Broadway performed by some of Western North Carolina’s most talented young performers! Spring Showcase includes songs from both current and classic musicals. Directed by Mark Jones with musical direction by Sarah Fowler and choreography by Jessica Garland. Performances are Friday, May 26, 2017 at 7:30pm and Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:30pm at the Carol Belk Theatre on the campus of UNC Asheville. Tickets are $5.00 and are available online at www.ashevilletheatre.org, by phone at 828-254-1320 or in person at the ACT Box Office.
