The McGuire Wood & Bissette law firm is
pleased to announce that Rebecca
Crandall, an N.C. Board Certified Trademark Attorney has joined the firm. Ms.
Crandall is currently the only attorney in Western North Carolina to hold the
designation as a certified trademark lawyer. She has more than 10 years of experience
representing clients in state and federal courts in cases involving claims of
IP infringement as well as related business torts. As a registered patent
attorney, she will offer legal services in patent preparation and prosecution.
She has represented clients in domain name disputes, including ICANN
proceedings before the National Arbitration Forum.

Ms. Crandall earned her
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Converse College and
graduated cum laude in 2001. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the
University of North Carolina School of Law, cum laude in 2004. Crandall will
continue advising clients in trademark clearance and licensing and
representation before U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Trademark Trial and
Appeal Board and the U.S. Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. She will also offer
her legal experience in drafting franchise disclosure
documents and franchise litigation matters as well.
