Dr. Chad Haldeman-Englert joins Mission Fullerton Genetics


Mission Health is pleased to announce the addition of Chad Haldeman-Englert, MD. Dr. Haldeman-Englert joins Mission Fullerton Genetics from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where he served as an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Section on Medical Genetics.

“It is exciting for us to welcome Dr. Haldeman-Englert to the multidisciplinary team of medical professionals at Mission Fullerton Genetics,” said Susan Mims, Vice President and Medical Director, Mission Children’s Hospital and Mission Fullerton Genetics. “Dr. Haldeman-Englert’s extensive research experience and clinical expertise will help solidify our commitment to ensuring patients have access to comprehensive genetic services.”


Dr. Haldeman-Englert earned his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in combined internal medicine and pediatrics at Maricopa Integrated Health System and Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Haldeman-Englert is board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics and medical (clinical) genetics. He has also been published in numerous scholarly journals and textbooks.


“It is my great pleasure to begin this new endeavor of continual study and practice at Mission Fullerton Genetics,” said Dr. Haldeman-Englert. “I am committed to investing time in educating patients, parents and community members alike about various aspects of genetics and genetic conditions, including genetic testing. Some of my professional interests include dysmorphology, genetic syndromes, neurogenetics and inborn errors of metabolism.”


Mission Fullerton Genetics offers the only genetic services in western North Carolina. Services provided include genetic counseling, clinical genetic testing, genetics laboratory, community education and outreach. Mission Fullerton Genetics is located at 9 Vanderbilt Park Drive, Asheville, North Carolina.
