Asheville ad companies win regional awards



After winning Gold Awards in the local round, Big Bridge Design and Angry Bear won Silver Awards at the regional level of the American Advertising Awards. The round includes advertising and marketing companies from American Advertising Federation District 3, which includes all of North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

The American Advertising Awards, formerly known as the ADDYs, is among the most prestigious awards programs in the industry. In the local round, including companies from Western North Carolina, SapidMedia Productions of Arden brought home a Gold Award and was named “Best of Show” for its online advertising campaign for Diamond Brand, called an “an outstanding example of branded content” by Award Judge Mike Weber.

Asheville’s Market Connections brought home the largest number of awards in the local round, winning two Silvers and four Golds. Additional Gold Award winners included Angry Bear, Bclip Productions, Big Bridge Design, Connie Aridas Creative, Element Advertising and SCALE, all based in Asheville.

Silver Awards were also presented to Adam Taylor Pictures, Bclip Productions and The Brite Agency of Asheville. G&T Communications, based in Boone, Real Digital Productions of Brevard and Western Carolina University, located in Cullowhee, were also recognized with Silver Awards at the local level.
