The second in the series is Emotions
& Spending which will be held on Thursday April 28th
from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. The class will be held at the Pack Memorial
Library at 67 Haywood Street in downtown Asheville. This financial
education opportunity is open to the community and there is no charge to
attend.
OnTrack
WNC’s certified financial educator, Anna Smith, will teach the Emotions
& Spending class. This class explores the powerful role of emotion in
our use of money, and provides tools for understanding those
connections and working with the influential pull our emotions have on our
spending patterns.
“Managing money is about more than addition and
subtraction,” said Celeste Collins, Executive Director of OnTrack
WNC. “People carry all kinds of emotional baggage when it comes to
finances. Understanding how our relationship with money in the past effects the
present opens the door to developing new, proactive patterns that support
financial stability and long-term goals.”
Through this partnership, additional classes will be offered
in 2016 including Understanding Reverse Mortgages and Budgeting.
