YWCA Health Fair open to the public - Nov. 1st



The YWCA of Asheville will be hosting a health fair on Saturday, November 1st  from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. It is free and open to the entire community.

This wellness event will offer glucose (blood sugar), cholesterol and blood pressure checks and BMI evaluation. Health education and screenings will be available including balance, hearing, and vision screening. 

WNCAP and the Council on Aging will be there to provide information about their organizations. Pisgah Legal Services will educate individuals about the upcoming open enrollment in the Health Insurance Marketplace. Mission Hospital will host a low-cost CPR class.

The event will be catered by Clingman Cafe and will include chair massage and other alternative wellness therapies.

Spanish interpreters will be available from 11 to 1 pm, and Spanish speakers can make an appointment or direct questions to Katie Souris, Coordinator of Preventive Health, at 828-254-7206 ext. 212.
