We are pleased to honor Printville as Small Business of the Month. Read on for our interview with Printville co-founder Nathan White.
Tell us a little of the company's history.
Printville's first store was born in 2009 in South
Asheville…within Biltmore Park Town Square…starting with just two employees.
In 2011, we added another retail store in Downtown Asheville - within in
the Grove Arcade - and grew to five employees. In 2012, we added a
production location in Arden, NC and hired three more employees. By the
end of 2014, we will have 13 employees and added a third new retail store in
Fletcher, NC (3 retail stores total).
What
are you most proud of about the company?
Printville prides itself in providing a unique and different
printing experience…we provide unique products and services at each of our
stores. This includes: primarily offering commercial printing, retail
copying, bulk mailing services, wide format and signage printing, and FedEx
& USPS shipping and packaging services at each retail store!
Best
advice you’ve gotten for leading a small business
"The Plan is the Plan, Until the Plan Changes" - Since
our beginning, we've been diligent to stick to our strategic plans and not
deviate from it. Occasionally, we'd discuss different ideas and sometimes
the plan changes and improves for the better. We've been successful by
being focused and sticking to our business plan. But also, we thrive with a
changing environment and thinking
outside the box.
Your
favorite thing in your workspace.
Our customers and our team. Printville's team is unique and
each person on staff takes ownership, invests and enjoys what they do….they
have a "voice". Because of this culture, our customers see the
difference at Printville and keep coming back. It's an enjoyable
experience to be a part of the Printville family.
What’s
next on the horizon?
In November 2014, Printville is opening it's 3rd retail location -
in the heart of Fletcher, NC. This free-standing facility is a brand new
building - built just for Printville. It will house a retail storefront
as well as centralize all of Printville production equipment for it's other two
locations in western north carolina. We plan on continuing to add
additional retail stores in 2015.
The Asheville

Impact: Printville's mission is to make our customers look
