Local Flavor, (http://www.localflavorapp.com/) which was created by Asheville locals, celebrates their one year anniversary of launching and commemorates the Grand Opening of the first of it's kind "Local Flavor ReCharge Station" located in the baggage claim area of the Asheville Regional Airport. The ReCharge Station is equipped with outlets and USB ports for charging devices while waiting for luggage and/or transportation. There is also an over-sized cell phone showcasing an entertaining video containing Local Flavor app pages of 10 local businesses, iconic images from some of Asheville's best photographers and a "call to action" to download the free "Local Flavor App." Playing in the background is a looping soundtrack with over 2 hours of original songs by 18 of Asheville's best musicians including the Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band, The Broadcast, River Rats, The Wilhelm Brothers, Josh Phillips Folk Festival and more.
The Grand Opening Celebration is by invitation only.
